Carnival UK, parent of P&O Cruises and Cunard, has launched a company-wide restructure and formal consultation to "determine new roles and responsibilities" across both brands.
The changes create cross-brand teams working across P&O Cruises and Cunard, and expand shared technology and business-enabling functions. Leadership is being combined too: Paul Ludlow now leads both P&O Cruises and Cunard as president, while former Cunard president Katie McAlister becomes Carnival UK's chief commerce officer.
Carnival UK has declined to say whether — or how many — roles are at risk, so the scale of any redundancies isn't yet public. The company has form here: a 2023 "fire and rehire" plan affecting more than 900 seafarers was withdrawn after backlash.
