Redundancies confirmed
The chain grew quickly after acquiring more than 100 former LloydsPharmacy branches in 2023, becoming one of the UK's largest independent pharmacy groups. But dispensing volumes fell sharply through 2025, and staff wages reportedly went unpaid from as early as July that year.
Administrators were appointed at the end of December 2025, with debts reported in the tens of millions of pounds. Allied Pharmacies has since agreed to take on around 60 of the branches, though many staff have already received redundancy notices.
