    100 redundancies confirmed as UK pharmacy chain collapses into administration

    Jhoots Pharmacy and related companies have collapsed into administration, with around 100 redundancies confirmed. The chain expanded fast after buying 100+ former LloydsPharmacy sites in 2023, but dispensing volumes collapsed and staff wages reportedly went unpaid from as early as July 2025. Administrators were appointed in late December 2025 with debts in the tens of millions. Allied Pharmacies has since taken over around 60 branches.
