PayPal to cut 164 jobs at Irish operation
PayPal is cutting 164 jobs at its Irish operation (PayPal Europe Services Ltd), equivalent to 11.9% of its 1,380 full-time Irish staff. The Department of Enterprise received a collective redundancy notification on 28 August 2026; staff were informed from 31 August, starting with 29 senior staff, three team leads and one manager, with a further 131 roles across departments confirmed shortly after. The company says the cuts are part of a multi-year transformation to simplify global operations; redundancies are expected between 7 and 21 October 2026.
